EL CAJON (12-27-15) — Things looked pretty good at the start for the Cougars as Steele Canyon streaked to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter of Monday’s (Dec. 28) opening round of the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic FIBA (Black Division) contest played at Valhalla High.
Chatsworth never pulled ahead as the Cougars dominated, claiming the 49-30 victory.

GREAT OAK 46, MOUNT MIGUEL 37 – The Matadors stumbled out of the gate against Temecula’s Great Oak and could never find their footing in Monday’s (Dec. 28) SoCal Holiday Prep Classic WNBA Division encounter in Spring Valley.
“We didn’t play with the same intensity tonight that we did in our previous three games, and it showed,” said Mount Miguel coach ROBBIE SANDOVAL.

“We played good defense,” said Braves coach CARLOS MOSS. “Our offense needs to come around. We couldn’t maintain our intensity.”
