BALBOA PARK (12-3-15) — The San Diego Hall of Champions has named NATHEN STINSON of Helix High as one of their November Stars of the Month in football.
The Highlanders’ senior running back has amassed 1311 yards and 13 touchdowns on 151 carries. He will lead the Highlanders into the San Diego Section Open Division championship game against St. Augustine this Saturday (Dec. 5) at 7 p.m. at Southwestern College.
Also, NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, of El Cajon, topped the list of athletes selected as Stars of the Month for November by the San Diego Hall of Champions.
Johnson apparently owns the NASCAR race course in Fort Worth, Texas, as No. 48 captured the race for the fourth straight time.
The San Diego Hall of Champions is dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and promoting outstanding local athletic excellence. “The Hall” was launched by the Breitbard Athletic Foundation, which was founded in 1946 by the legendary Bob Breitbard to recognize significant athletic achievement in San Diego and motivate and inspire youth of all ages to reach their full potential.
