EL CAJON – Alexa Arndt‘s double-double and Berika Egberuare‘s team-high 12 points helped SDC outlast La Sierra in the season opener on Tuesday night.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

INSIDE THE GAME:
• Alexa Arndt scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
• The Hawks went 14-of-15 from the charity stripe (93.3 percent)
• SDC outscored La Sierra 32-6 in points off turnovers, capitalizing in transition.
• The Hawks outscored the Golden Eagles in bench points 27-14, getting quality minutes out of the second unit.
• Saskia Giesselbach brought down a team-high 13 rebounds.
• Although the Golden Eagles shot 40 percent from the field in the first half, the Hawks led by seven at the half, 37-30.
STAT OF THE GAME:
• The Hawks forced 28 turnovers with high-pressure defense resulting in 32 points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• SDC has defeated La Sierra the last three outings including four of the last five
