PHOENIX – Alli Beezer, Juliana Gutknecht, and Molly Witzmann all had double-digit kills to help the Hawks defeat Arizona Christian in four sets, (25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17).

SANTEE, Calif. – A day after clinching their first winning season since 2002, the Hawks made quick work of Menlo sweeping the Oaks 3-0 on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.

INSIDE THE GAME:
• Juliana Gutknecht led all players with 13 kills. Alli Beezer was also in double figures with 10.
• Ashlyn Riding tallied a game-high 29 assists, giving her 913 for the season.
• Trailing for most of the first set, Hawks finished with an 8-1 run to complete the comeback for the point.
• Facing an even bigger deficit in set two, 17-11, SDC finished on a 14-5 run for a 2-0 lead.
• Set 3 was less stressful as the Hawks took the lead for good at 5-4.
• SDC led WJU in kills (41-29) and in hitting percentage (.248-.087)
STAT OF THE GAME:
• Bevan Barnes led with eight total blocks.

• With the win, SDC finishes conference in sixth place.

• Hawks bookended the first set with a 4-0 run to start and a 6-0 run to end for the first point.
• William Jessup held a brief lead in the second set before SDC took over at 4-3 and never looked back.
• Set three saw five ties, with the last at 5-5. The Hawks made a late comeback, down 23-14, scoring six straight points to get the set within three points. The Warriors scored the next two for the set win.
• A Gutknecht kill in the fourth set gave the lead for good in set four.
• Hawks topped Warriors in kills in every set, holding a 64-42 advantage.
• SDC led WJU in the hitting percentage department, .329-.163.

• Ashlyn Riding‘s 55 assists were her second most all season.
