EL CAJON (10-4-15) — Steele Canyon graduate LAWRENCE DICKENS enjoyed a fruitful homecoming when the sophomore receiver brought his Marist College Red Foxes to the University of San Diego’s Alcala Park on Saturday (Oct. 3).
Dickens caught 3 passes for 76 yards, including touchdowns of 63 and 8 yards but the Red Foxes still fell short to the Toreros 30-27.
For five games this season Dickens has 11 catches for 215 yards, which is an average of 19.5.
A year ago the former Cougar averaged 43.2 yards per kickoff returns.
On the winning side, Toreros’ freshman quarterback ANTHONY LAWRENCE complete 23 of 35 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown. He also scored on a 5-yard run against Marist.
