Hoffman accounts for eight TDs in Knights’ 8-man blowout

EL CAJON – DANIEL HOFFMAN and the Foothills Christian Knights found their 8-man stride and then some in a 68-8 pasting of visiting Warner Friday night at Seau Field, as the junior quarterback accounted for eight touchdowns.
The Knights opened up a 34-0 lead before Warner put up its first score.
Hoffman assed for 246 yards for Foothills Christian, completing 5-of-13 passing. All five of the passes, however, went for touchdowns.
NATHAN HAMILTON had an 80-yard touchdown reception, while teammates MATTHEW ARAGON had a 60-yard touchdown and CALEB TARVER added a 54-yard score. NICK PUPA had a 39-yard TD reception, while CONNOR GEORGE added a 13-yard score.
Even ELI HALE got into the TD passing act, throwing a score to Hoffman, for a 25-yard connection.
Hoffman also rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns as part of his eight touchdown performance. For good measure, he also score three two-point PAT conversions.
George also scored a pair of conversions, while ISSIAH BARTOLOME also scored a two-point conversion.
JUDAH LOPEZ recorded an interception and returned it 25 yards for FCHS. NOAH OLIVER led the Knights with five tackles and a fumble recovery, while Lopez and Aragon added four tackles apiece. NATHAN HAMILTON had three tackles and five assists, while Foothills teammate CHASE EURICH recorded a sack.
Center GABRIEL BATES led the Knights’ three-man front.
