Hawks’ junior Oray earns GSAC Offensive Player of Week

SANTEE – With her five goal, four assist performance last week, Vivian Oray has been named GSAC Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Oray, from Nairobi, Kenya, scored two goals and had two assists in a 15-0 victory against Providence Christian College on Tuesday last week. She added a hat-trick and two more assists in the 12-1 victory over Bethesda on Saturday.
Oray now has eight goals and five assists on the season, which leads all GSAC players heading into conference. Her eight goals is also good for 15th in the nation.
After a tying a school record with 15 goals scored on Tuesday, the SDC Women’s Soccer team almost repeated that same feat on Saturday as the Hawks defeated Bethesda University 12-1 in their last non-conference game of the season.
SDC finished the game with 33 shots in the game.
With the win, they improve to 5-1-1 on the season. Bethesda drops to 0-6.
The Hawks will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday as they host No. 7 Westmont to open GSAC play. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
