EL CAJON (7-23-15) — Three East County baseball prospects will compete in the annual Area Code Games August 4th thru 11th at Long Beach’s Blair Field. The local contingent is sponsored by the Milwaukee Brewers organization, which represents all of Southern California.
The local representatives include Christian’s versatile outfielder-pitcher KYLE STOWERS, who batted .407 with 6 home runs and 31 RBI last season. Stowers was recently named to the All-State Medium (-sized) Schools team by Cal-Hi Sports.
Valhalla third baseman COLE HENDERSON, who batted .370 with 3 home runs and 16 RBI, along with Steele Canyon’s AVERY TUCK (.286, 3 home runs and 11 RBI) round out the Inland trio.
This is a prestigious event in that all major league teams are represented as well as the majority of major college programs.
