SAN DIEGO (7-15-15) — The annual San Diego Classic starts Thursday (July 16) at UCSD and Alliant University.
The summer showcase will feature 152 high school girls basketball teams from seven states and Germany.
“Among the local standouts participating are All-State players Sierra Campisano (Torrey Pines), Destiny Littleton (The Bishop’s School), DiJonai Carrington (Horizon Christian), Mai Loni Henson (La Jolla Country Day) and Khayla Rooks (Mission Hills),” noted record-breaking Santana girls basketball coach and tournament director WADE VICKERY.
St. Mary’s of Stockton, possibly the #1 pre-season ranked team in the nation, will field a team.
“Saturday (July 18) from 4-7 pm at UCSD will have some of the best high school girls basketball that you will ever see, with 3A semis and 2A quarterfinals,” said Vickery.
