LA MESA (7-23-15) — Helix High’s football field has taken on a new wrinkle.
While West Hills is locally famous for its all blue (aka BoiseState) gridiron playing surface, the Highlanders have created a new look for Jim Arnaiz Field at Benton Hart Stadium.
Both endzones will feature a green and black plaid look, noting the Highlanders’ school colors. This is the first team from the area to ever go away from a solid appearing surface.
